July 1st Annual Pilgrimage 2023

In July 2023, McCrae’s Battalion Trust traveled the Contalmaison for our annual pilgrimage for the anniversary of the Battle of the Somme. Another successful pilgrimage, and we will be providing a much more detailed account in due course.

We also had Trust representation at St Cuthbert’s Church on 2nd July 2023 and along with Trust members, congregation and our Padre, Peter Sutton, who had performed in the service in France the day before, were accompanied by a lone piper to McCrae’s Place outside the Usher Hall for a memorial service.
